This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

2016 Standard CPC Training

Standard trainings are offered by DBHR to prepare consumers to become certified peer counselors.  Adults, youth and parents are eligible for these trainings. Parents and youth on WISe teams must take a Youth/Family training. Documenting Medical Necessity In Your Service Notes (Webinar)

This webinar will cover the case note documentation requirements under the new supportive housing and supported employment Medicaid benefits. Medicaid is a health insurance program, so case notes must document medical necessity in order for supportive housing and employment services to qualify for Medicaid reimbursement. Participants will learn how to assess and document medical necessity and adopt case note documentation practices that meet Medicaid’s requirements. Housing + Employment Works: Systems Performance Measures around Employment and Income Maximization

This webinar will take place on August 18, 2016 at 1:00 PM EDT. The audience will hear the importance of emphasizing employment and measuring income outcomes. In the new day of accountability, recipients need to consider the income of participants as key to housing stability and affordability in the long-term. You will hear how communities are measuring employment outcomes and the benefits to the CoC.
