This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

Networks for Life-Youth Suicide Prevention

This training is made possible by support from the Cambia Health Foundation Suicide is the second leading cause of death for Washington youth between 10 and 24 years old. In Washington there are nearly twice as many suicides as homicides in this age range. Networks for Life aids adults in building the capacity to identify and appropriately respond to adolescent stress, depression, and suicidal thinking. Suicide Assessment, Intervention & Treatment (6 CEs)

This training is on the WA State Department of Health’s Model List for Suicide Prevention Training for Health Professionals and is approved by the Medical Commission. It has also been approved for six (6) CEs for Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Social Workers. WMHCA Provider #1305. Please read to confirm licensure requirements for WA DOH standards based on profession. Suicide Screening & Referral meets the WA State Department of Health’s Model List for Suicide Prevention Training for Health Professionals and is approved by the Medical Commission. The course content is appropriate for medical professionals who need to screen and refer patients to mental health clinicians and support services.
