This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

NAMI In Our Own Voice

In Our Own Voice is a unique public education presentation that offers insight into the hope and recovery possible for people living with mental illness. Participants will learn to put together their story as part of the In Our Own Voice presentation program, with the ability to return to their community and provide presentations at a variety of organizations. NAMI Family Support Group

NAMI Washington - Kirkland Kirkland, WA

NAMI Family Support Groups are local meetings of caregivers of individuals with a mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom. NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group

NAMI Washington - Kirkland Kirkland, WA

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for adults. Groups are led by NAMI-trained Peer Facilitators. are peer-based mutual support groups that meet weekly for 90 minutes of safe, confidential personal sharing in a flexible group setting. Groups are open to any adult living with a mental illness or a psychiatric condition and willing in share with others confidentially in an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, and hope. Co-Occurring Disorders for Adolescents

Participants will be introduced to terminology, assessment and treatment strategies and models related to co-occurring treatment. The training will provide foundational knowledge on evidence-based practices in the field of behavioral health including differential diagnosis of individuals that have a substance use and mental health co-morbidity.
