NAMI In Our Own Voice presentations change attitudes, assumptions and stereotypes by describing the reality of living with mental illness. People with mental health conditions share their powerful personal stories in this 90-minute presentation. There will be a Standard Certified Peer Counseling training in Olympia November 28th -December 2nd. You must be an approved applicant and have completed the online class to be considered. NAMI Family-to-Family is a 12 week education program for family, significant others and friends of people living with mental illness. It is a designated evidence-based program. NAMI Ending the Silence is a free, 50 minute presentation designed to give students an opportunity to learn about mental illness through an informative Power Point and short videos. Through the presentation, students learn symptoms and indicators of mental illness, and are given ideas about how to help themselves, friends, or family members who may be in need of support.
