NAMI Family Support Groups are local meetings of caregivers of individuals with a mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom. NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group is a free, peer-led support group for adults. Groups are led by NAMI-trained Peer Facilitators. are peer-based mutual support groups that meet weekly for 90 minutes of safe, confidential personal sharing in a flexible group setting. Groups are open to any adult living with a mental illness or a psychiatric condition and willing in share with others confidentially in an atmosphere of respect, encouragement, and hope. Participants will be introduced to terminology, assessment and treatment strategies and models related to co-occurring treatment.
