This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Sometimes first aid isn’t a bandage, or CPR, or calling 911. Sometimes first aid is YOU. A young person you know could be experiencing a mental health or substance use problem. Learn an action plan to help. Anyone 18 or older can take Youth Mental Health First Aid, but it is recommended for those who regularly have contact with young people 12-18 – teachers, coaches, social workers, faith leaders and other caring citizens. Documentation for Peer Support Counselors

Certified Peer Counselors must document their work, but that documentation must be done in a way that is consistent with their unique role. This workshop helps peer support workers understand requirements of Medicaid and the Washington Administrative Codes, focusing on the type of documentations most often required by CPCs. Ethics & Boundaries for Peer Support Counselors

Keys to Success: Ethics and Boundaries for Peer Support Counselors is a free, dynamic, interactive workshop designed for Peer Support Counselors in any role. The content is largely based on the International Association of Peer Specialists document, National Ethical Guidelines and Practice Standards.
