This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. NAMI Family Support Groups are local meetings of caregivers of individuals with a mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom. Youth Mental Health First Aid is a public education program which introduces participants to the unique risk factors and warning signs of mental health problems in adolescents, builds understanding of the importance of early intervention, and most importantly - teaches individuals how to help a youth in crisis or experiencing a mental health challenge. This introductory course is not intended for current mental health treatment providers. Click here for more information.
