This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. Basics Class Teachers

NAMI Washington - Kirkland Kirkland, WA

NAMI Basics is a class for parents and other caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illnesses. It focuses on the fundamentals of caring for the parent or caregiver, others in the family, and the child living with mental illness. Prospective teachers must have the experience of being a parent/caregiver for a child or adolescent living with mental illness, be 18 years of age, and be(come) a NAMI member.
