This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

Recovery Coach Academy

What is a Recovery Coach?
A personal guide and mentor for people seeking or in recovery. The Recov-ery Coach helps to remove barriers and obstacles, and links the recovering person to the recovery community.
Recovery Coaching Requirements Offered by IDHW:

  • 30 hours of CCAR-model Recovery Coach Academy training.
  • 12 hours of CCAR-model Ethical Considerations for Recovery Coaches training
  • 4 hours of Idaho-specific Recovery Coach ethics training

Each training session requires a mini-mum of 12 attendees. If we do not receive enough registrations for this training session, it will be rescheduled for a future date. The Department cannot issue refunds; your payment will be credited toward the rescheduled training.
Registration is complete once you have completed this form and DHW has received payment. Seating is limited; you are not considered registered until we have received this electronic registration form and payment.
