This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

Yakima – NAMI Provider Education Training
April 13, 2019 - April 14, 2019
This program is designed as a staff development program for front-line professionals who work directly with people with mental health conditions. The course is designed to expand the participants’ compassion for people affected by mental health conditions—those with the condition and their family/caregivers—and to promote a collaborative model of care.
To be eligible to become a presenter you must meet one of three requirements (and you can fall into more than one category!)
- Be a mental health professional
- Be living with a mental illness
- Have a family member who is living with a mental illness
This is a team-based presentation, we encourage complete teams to come to the training together. The ideal team size is 3 trained individuals, but in some circumstances can be a team of 2, as long as those 2 people meet all three required roles (listed above). NAMI Affiliates who already have trained teams are encouraged to send more folks in order to continue building their teams!
