This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. Re-Imagining Behavioral Health: Race, Equity and Social Justice

This 2-half day virtual conference will explore the intersectionality of substance use disorders, mental health, and social justice. The event is designed to empower individuals and teams who want to advance health equity and support diversity and inclusion in behavioral health care.

The conference is an opportunity to connect with others and join in a meaningful conversation about healing racial trauma, dismantling racism, combating systemic racism and social injustices through the lens of mental health and substance use issues.

After the conference, using key concepts from the presentations and panel discussions a “Call to Action” series will be created to provide ongoing training and learning collaboratives for behavioral health care providers and organizations who are interested in making real change.

Here are a few highlights for this year’s plenary discussions:
• Navigating Mental Health: In Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) Communities
• People with Lived Experience: A Youth Perspective on Behavioral Health
• Behavioral Health Workforce: Recruitment and Retention Strategies for Culturally Specific Leaders and Staff
