This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. Problem Gambling Workshop & Training
November 16, 2015 - November 19, 2015
Introduction to Problem Gambling Counselor Training (30 CEUs) Introduction to problem & pathological gambling disorders. DSM-5 criteria will be discussed, and participants will learn practical application of the most commonly used screening & diagnostic tools. Includes overview of topic areas covered on the National Counselor Certification Exam. Nov 18-19: Advanced Workshops in Problem Gambling (up to 14 CEUs available) Topics include Ethical Issues in Treatment of Problem Gamblers, Clinical Supervision & Case Management, Problem Gamblers with Co-Occurring Depressive & Alcohol Use Disorders, and Prep for the National Problem Gambling Counselor Test.
Cost:
Intro to Problem Gambling (4 day training Nov 16-19) $170 ,
Advanced Workshops (Nov 18-19) $85 or $60 for one day)—discounts with ECPG memberships are available.
