This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. Peer to Peer Class Teachers (Mentors)
September 16, 2016 - September 18, 2016
Peer-to-Peer [P2P] is a 10 week course led by trained peer mentors, people who have experienced mental illness in their own lives and believe that mental health recovery and resiliency are possible. This class focuses on offering information, encouragement, hope, and guidance to adults who live with a mental illness and want to experience quality of life as contributing members of their communities. Prospective Mentors must be a Person of Experience Engage in Recovery (PEER), 18 years of age, and be(come) a member of NAMI.
