Training Calendar
This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. We invite you to learn about upcoming events and/or request that your training event be added to the calendar!

Engaging Patients through the SHARE Approach
February 4, 2016 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
FreeThe Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and the Washington Health Alliance, along with event sponsors Washington State Health Care Authority and Group Health Cooperative, are hosting two FREE one-day train-the-trainer workshops on shared decision-making.
Workshop participants will:
- Learn about AHRQ’s SHARE Approach, a five-step process for shared decision-making.
- Learn simple, practical ways to use evidence-based, patient-centered outcomes research information and resources to support shared decision-making.
- Access a range of research summaries and patient decision aids from AHRQ’s Effective Health Care Program.
- Learn how to train your colleagues to use shared decision- making.
- Participate in an ongoing learning network of trainers and receive ongoing technical assistance as you work to implement shared decision-making.
- Earn over six (6.25) hours of continuing medical education credits (CME)/continuing education units (CEUs).
- Learn how to train others on shared decision-making and offer them 5.5 hours of CME/CEUs.
Space is limited and expected to fill up fast.
Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.
