This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. De-escalation Basics

To provide quality customer service and meet the needs of customers, we want to learn skills of how to treat them with dignity and respect, even when a situation is tense.

You will learn both verbal and non-verbal techniques to prevent and ease tense encounters.

The training introduces ways to establish boundaries and awareness of the environment using our 2-step process, while actively listening and understanding the needs of the customer.

This training is suitable for anyone who interacts with the public as part of their job including administrative and customer service staff, clinical and non-clinical staff, as well as supervisors and managers.
