DBHR landlord outreach learning community call – Crisis management
August 12, 2020 @ 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Addressing angry or potentially volatile situations effectively is critical to the wellness and safety of service providers, landlords and tenants in supported housing. In order to reduce the risk of physical or emotional injury and to validate and understand each other, a three-step relational intervention was developed and can be used successfully in a variety of settings. The facilitators in this learning community session will guide participants in understanding and using this simple technique that can be used to deescalate and manage crisis situations. We will explore additional strategies to avoid conflict and maintain positive interactions and healthy relationships between service providers, landlords and tenants.
