Crisis Leadership and Resiliency: A Trauma-informed Approach to COVID-19 Response

August 20, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

As our nation continues to struggle with COVID-19, public health and behavioral health professionals working on the front lines supporting communities may be feeling, confused, stressed, angry, belittled and dismayed.

Join the National Council for Behavioral Health’s Behavioral Health Training Institute (BHTI) for Health Officials and the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) on Thursday, August 20 from 1-2 p.m. ET for “Crisis Leadership and Resiliency: A Trauma-informed Approach to COVID-19 Response.”

In this one-hour workshop, Elizabeth Guroff, MA, LCMFT, director of trauma-informed services at the National Council, will identify public health leadership strategies to minimize the impact of anxiety on staff, as well as techniques to promote resiliency and self-care in a trauma-informed way.
