This training calendar is designed to be a statewide resource about the latest training opportunities in mental health and substance abuse recovery across Washington State. Most of these trainings are organized by outside organizations, so make sure to scroll down on the page of the training you’re interested in if you have questions or need to contact someone about the training. Clinical Supervision – Save the Date

Have you met your Clinical Supervision classroom training requirement?
This 2-day, 15 hour training (includes 4 law and ethics credits) meets the educational requirement for becoming an approved supervisor in Washington state and participants will:
- Learn about the W.A.C. as it applies to clinical supervision.
- Improve their supervisory skills.
- Understand the difference between supervision and consultation.
- Explore the effects of gender, age and ethnicity on the supervisory relationship.
- Learn about the professional development stages of supervisors and supervisees.
- Have a chance to problem solve particular supervision challenges in a safe and supportive environment.
About the Speaker:
Lisa Erickson, M.S., L.M.H.C., has been a mental health counselor, clinical supervisor, program director, and consultant for more than 25 years. She is a past-president of the Washington Mental Health Counselors Association and has been very active at the state level with issues related to licensure and supervision.
Licensed Social Workers, Marriage/Family Therapists and Mental Health Counselors:
15 Continuing Education Credits from NASW- WA.
