Building Relationships with Landlords (webinar)

July 28, 2016 @ 8:30 am - 10:00 am

The Building Relationships with Landlords Webinar will focus on providing participants with ideas, practical tools, and resources for working with private landlords to obtain housing in different settings and a discussion on tenant/landlord rights and responsibilities. The webinar will not cover the legal aspects of the tenant/landlord law nor provide legal advice. However, it will provide ideas and suggested resources on how service providers can locate information on tenant/landlord laws, federal and local resources for obtaining housing, and a forum for asking questions on how best to work with landlords.

The July topical webinar on Housing scheduled for July 28th from 8:30-10:00 will feature Pat Tucker from Advocates for Human Potential.

Ms. Tucker is a nationally-recognized leader in supportive housing, supported employment, and community integration for people with disabilities, including those with behavioral health conditions.  Her diverse career has fashioned a unique perspective on employment for people with disabilities, job development, permanent supportive housing and supported employment management. Before joining Advocates for Human Potential, Inc. (AHP), Ms. Tucker spent more than 20 years supervising affordable housing programs. Realizing that housing alone did not cure homelessness, she added employment programs to all of the housing programs that she managed. Operated mostly by staff with lived experience of homelessness, these programs founds job for hundreds of clients.

As a Senior Program Manager and one of AHP’s top trainers, Ms. Tucker’s professional experiences and creative spirit produce a training style that is concise, easily followed, worthwhile and fun. She brings a passion to her trainings and successfully takes difficult, complex subjects and transforms them into information everyone can enjoy. Regardless of the topic, people attending Ms. Tucker’s trainings gain a deeper, fuller and clearer understanding of the content area and the skills necessary to complete related tasks with greater confidence and effectiveness.
