SUMMARY:Buprenorphine Waiver Training
DESCRIPTION:Completion of the 4-hour in-person course as well as a 4-hour online follow-up allows physicians to prescribe buprenorphine for office-based treatment of opioid use disorder. ARNPs and PA-Cs require an additional 16 hours of training. CME is approved by American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) or American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). Other interested professionals\, such as team members and chemical dependency counselors\, are also welcome to attend and learn more about buprenorphine as space allows. Medical residents from any specialty are welcome. SUMMARY:Buprenorphine Waiver Training
DESCRIPTION:Completion of the 4-hour in-person course as well as a 4-hour online follow-up allows physicians to prescribe buprenorphine for office-based treatment of opioid use disorder. ARNPs and PA-Cs require an additional 16 hours of training. CME is approved by American Academy of Addiction Psychiatry (AAAP) or American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM). Other interested professionals\, such as team members and chemical dependency counselors\, are also welcome to attend and learn more about buprenorphine as space allows. Medical residents from any specialty are welcome. This year we will have two perfomances: an evening perfomance on Saturday\, November 10 at 7pm and the afternoon of Sunday\, November 11 at 2pm. \nFeaturing professional storyteller Bill Bernat\, and six indviduals sharing their stories of how they have been affected by mental illness and their journies toward recovery\, this event will entertain\, fight stigma\, build community\, and support the work of NAMI Washington and the 20 NAMI affiliates in Washington State. \nWe are pleased to announce that Bill Radke\, host of KUOW-FM’s The Record and Week In Review will be our emcee on November 10!
